At Hamai, we manufacture our own products under our own brand at our own plants. We build on our advanced technology and take care of everything from design to development and manufacture to suit our customers’ applications, a rare presence among comprehensive manufacturers specializing in valve products. Our expert teams in sales, technology development, and design apply their creativity to fulfill customer needs. We have cultivated our technical capability in fields such as energy-related equipment, automotive applications, industrial machinery, and ventilation facilities, and now, we are building on that capability for various other industrial fields.
We are focusing our energies on clean energy and the global market: we are developing products with better added value and developing and fostering new businesses.
The switch to clean energy is vital in achieving a sustainable society. Hamai boasts the top share in the market for valves for LPG vehicles in Japan, and we hold our own original technology for manufacturing this and other products. We were the first in the industry to start researching and developing valves for hydrogen in 2002, and our valves are being used in FCVs by major automobile manufacturers, hydrogen stations, and other equipment.

A function required of gas valves is to safely control the gas flow rate through an extensive range of pressures and temperatures, which means that they must be designed to be compatible with the characteristics of various gases. At Hamai, we have assembled experts in high-pressure valves, product functions, fluid control, and safety valves in our research and development division. We have made it a priority to invest in an advanced environment for development, and we can respond to the needs of a variety of industries.

With an array of specialized software and tools, we are capable of smart product design
We have 3D CAD and are pressing ahead with designing products and verifying them using software. We consider manufacturing and process design in advance and feed information back to the product design for smart development.

We are diligent in quality management so that we can provide safe products that can be used without worry. From product design, procurement, manufacture, assembly, inspection, to shipping, our process is based on our own quality management system and know-how that we have accumulated over many years.
We are certified to ISO 9001 and other quality management certifications
We are certified to ISO 9001:2015. In 2022, we are seeking certification to IATF 16949:2016, an international standard for quality management systems that is specific to the automotive industry. We are pressing forward to meet the requirements of vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers in the automotive industry. At Hamai, we are pressing forward to adopt the following quality management systems and tools. Our design activities, defect prevention activities, and verification tests are performed to make sure our products are reliable.

Inspection system
We strictly inspect every item shipped
High-pressure valves for semiconductor manufacturing requires high precision. We put the components through high-precision cleaning and assemble them inside a clean room to painstakingly eliminate oils, moisture, and particles. We perform airtightness tests, process inspections, or other inspections that suit the product, and we are thorough in quality management at each process.
Marketing
To perfectly respond to the unique need of each customer, a standard product must be customized to the shape, function, and other requirements exclusively for the customer. At Hamai, staff with expertise communicate intimately with the customer. After understanding the sophisticated requirements, the technology division designs and customizes the product, and we develop and supply the valve product optimized to the customer’s needs.
We interview end users and endeavor to show Japanese hospitality down to after-purchase support and maintenance.
